We have been searching for a vintage gas station pole to hold our sign for a while. As it turns out, these types of poles are relatively rare and very popular amongst collectors. After about a year of research and thanks to the Facebook group "Old Gas Station Poles, Rings, Lights, Top Finials, Chains and Accessories" we are now the proud owners of a 1948 Texaco pole. We were able to locate one for sale in Bouckville, NY (near Syracuse). This pole was a challenge to move at 18 feet tall and over 500lbs!
The next stage will be to have our pole sandblasted, powder coated, and rewired before its ready to stand. Stay tuned!
